Ingress - a Niantic Project; from Google.

It combines Capture the flag and Geo-Caching (of sorts) but using your Smart phone as a 'scanner' to see a slightly different world. There are two Factions - or Teams; the Enlightened (Green) and Resistance (Blue).

Historical Markers, Churches, Unique places of interests, murals, sculptures are 'portals' which can be captured so that you can link them together to create a field (dome of sorts) to capture Mind Units.

      Ingress

      Side Note:

      • Enlightened = Frogs
      • Resistance = Smurfs

If I lived in an area where there were more people I would probably try and play. Around here though I doubt there are many nodes within walking/driving distance.

Haha city.. that's funny. The closest thing to a city around here is a college town called Oneonta.

                      He's a damned smurf though.

No matter where I go in the US I seem to always find people that are either wearing a SUNY Oneonta or SUNY Delhi sweatshirt. They always end up having relatives that attended one of these colleges. Doesn't matter if I'm in Florida, North Carolina, or Texas. I always see someone with one of those hoodies.

Same here we see lots of RIT or Suny Geneseo Sweatshirts when we travel. Heck I even saw one in Africa (no I am not kidding).

I can't walk very far without seeing VT hoodies and shirts here.

Ingress is awesome! I went from 1-8 in less than a month. Working on level 10 now. Only been playing since November. Some would say I'm ingress obsessed, plus I'm really the only girl in town that plays.
