Bread and Milk Alert in Arkansas

I have flour, water and beer....I can make my own bread.
And since I have beer - I don't need milk... ;D

People just have forgetten what it was like to be 'disconnected' and unable to run to the corner store..<Missing the old ways,.. thinking I might give the Underwood No.5 some attention.

@g.jacobse Milk and Bread being the sole most important things one needs if cold weather is approaching. It strikes me as strange, because it seems as though firewood or propane, or something would be more useful. Also, there is a sort of implication that cold weather, most of the US can stand easily, will lead to bread and milk shortages, though based on the photo and discussion so far, it seems the only shortages which exist, if any, are only there because of this belief.

LOL - it is,.. Ijjt's more of a huge line of humor. And sarchasm. When the weather turns, most 'crazy people' hit the store and wipe it out of bread and milk.. but they ignore the really useful things like canned heat, canned goods, dry goods and such.I keep all of those things, so it doesn't matter... I don't do knee jerking..

Around here the first things to go are Campbells soup, bread and cheese.

Since I live in a northern state that gets snow every winter, the first big threat of a snowstorm usually involves stores running through their stock of salt and snow shovels. I haven't noticed any one particular item at the grocery store that gets that low when we have a threat of severe weather.

SW Missouri here. I confirm, snow on the ground Milk and bread gone from store shelves. It is nice not having to walk more than 2 feet into any store with out a huge pile of snow melt and shovels for sale.

Same for St Louis area. Quite stupid actually. Annoys me to the point that is we happen to be out of bread or milk and snow flies, I refuse to buy it.
