Hey, I know there was a thread opened in 2017 about this but are there still people using https://www.jamf.com/ apple management software?
Got a bunch of sites that use iPads right now and we're looking for the best way to manage them without having a client in front of the ipad all the time.

Can't say about JAMF,.. but Microsoft Intune maybe an option. Once enrolled you can deploy apps, update, reset, remote wipe.

Yup, Microsoft Intune will do both iOS and Android.

We are in the process of moving away from JAMF. It was good but it has a big flaw that we can not work around anymore. It does not allow the devices to have an apple id which means that they can not use Facetime. When we first signed up 2 years ago and found out about this flaw it was promised to be resolved within the next few updates but still has not. For us that was too big of a problem to continue on with. We are now just moving to the Apple Business Essentials plan for them.

Yep, I manage 4 schools using Jamf Education.

It's not bad, it's reasonably easy to work your way around, the support doco I find, is quite good. The tech forum is lively.

Take a look at Mosyle as well.

There's another called Miradore, which I used a few years ago, which I thought was well laid out and thought through.

I have a bunch of customers that use Jamf and are happy . A few of them moved instead to Automox. Jamf has gotten more expensive the past few years (like everyone).
I can help with both or other solutions if you need a vendor.

I've not heard anything good or bad regarding Jamf in a long while.

To ask some probing questions, what type of business are you working in?

Would you be supporting a single site or business or multiple?

it would be multiple and I'm working with restaurants - a lot of them

So you'd be doing this as a managed servi e, I'm not sure if Jamf supports it, I know that Microsoft Intune, or Sophos mdm along with Apple DEP will work for multiple customers. But yo'd still have multiple Apple accounts (for app store purchases).

@WrCombs let me know if you need a demo of Jamf.... I have contacts and have sold it many times... I also recommend Block64 as an alternative (depending on what you need)
