State Holiday; home with the kids.

      Finished a 15hr print: AA/AAA battery holder.

Built a frame for a mold, about finish now... will be used in leather work (not by me).

Gotta research some Cad option as I don’t want to limit myself to TinkerCad. But I’ve had okay results so far, even for the third project and maybe two hours of work...

Doesn’t seem to bad for a ‘no marketable skills,’ ‘obtuse,’ ‘did you google that’ person-

      🤪

Here's a laundry list of software from a 3DP website.

The names I know off hand here are Blender and LibreCAD

Thanks, I know of both, and will look at the list - Never used Blender but have tinkered with LibreCad. And likely will go that way.

TinkerCAD is really good for making 3d prints with, even for more complex models. If you do need to move up to something like PRO-E or Solidworks, it's gonna get really expensive. I've never gotten the hang of using Blender properly, many have had success with it, so definently check that out as well.

Oh no,.. LOL.. I'll never get to the level where I need to look at AutoCad or Solidworks. This is a hobby - not a job.

Stick with TinkerCAD and use thingiverse models to get something close to what you want. IE: Echo Dot mount combined with a power adapter sleve came in really handy for me.

          trying to understand Dreamweaver.

I used to use DW years ago, I got the hang of that ancient version. I don't read instructions so this new version is busting my head open. Old DW used to be great to create via wysiwyg, this version is a PITA.

Anyone know of a simple WYSIWYG html editor that an impatient old mongrel can come to grips with, in 10 minutes??

Years ago (less years ago than my Dreamweaver use in the Macromedia days) I used one called CoffeeCup... not sure if it's still about.

I feel like that entire category of products faded away long ago.

@scottalanmiller This is the only one I can think of (Aloha Editor) but I've not had to use one for a very long time.

The products were replaced by CMS engines that have WYSIWYG editors built in for the content.

Yeah, and that did complex things that involve code and can't really be displayed by an editor in that way.

Lotus Notes was never good, it was just the "Cisco UC" of the 1990s. It was that utter garbage that some out of touch 90s manager bought without consulting IT and got screwed on.
