      Are the mics really that sensitive that they pickup physical bumps, etc of the table? I've always wondered why the mic is often supported by springs/elastic bands inside those holders.

      They sure do. It can be really bad.

        Is that a Blue Yeti USB mic? I've seen that they, at least in the past, been a popular choice for people wanting a good mic on a budget.

            If you want good isolation, one of the isolation mounts would be necessary. I can't see from that picture where the mic stand is actually mounted, probably not on the desk knowing @JaredBusch.

              If you want good isolation, one of the isolation mounts would be necessary. I can't see from that picture where the mic stand is actually mounted, probably not on the desk knowing @JaredBusch.

              yeah, he's close enough to the wall, that might be an option for him. Good call.

                          Episode 6, Fourth and Final one on Crete.... Day Drinking on the Beach with the girls, traditional Cretan Folk Dancing at the Cretan Corner in Aptera, messing with a green huntsman spider in our rental home, and a long drive down the hill to show you where we had been living for almost two weeks.

                          This episode was filmed on 22 June 2019, all in the village of Aptera.
