I'm not familiar with US CVs, but I'm missing things:

      • What are you good at regarding AD? GPOs? Audits? Usermanagement? Scripting? Tell 'em whatever you know.
      • Ever fixed a breaking issue? Something that could harm your employers business?
      • "Input menu data" ... no. "Normalized large amounts of data for POS systems"
      • "Built a home lab network using Ubiquiti Networks PRODUCT A, PRODUCT B, ... to learn XYZ (hell, UBNT is such a good system. Why did you choose them? Price, features, ...)"

      Hope that helps.

Remember: Build your resume for the job you want, not the one you have.

You could easily add a technologies proficiency area onto your resume.

                Proficient with these tools:

(whatever software tools you use, Vi, SSH, Putty, Windows Server, Linux Server, Hyper-V) etc

Remember his job has no actual servers in it, no Linux, and no real developement. Entering data into a system to generate a menu hardly seems like a dev thing.

                    So he does system support

I am sure he has touched windows server before on the job

I am sure he has worked with backups, even if its just using a SaaS solution

Also if he is using VPN to connect to remote sights then he is managing the connection in a sense 😉

Not very likely - the sell windows 10 as a server solution (likely illegally)

I suppose it's possible - but again, it would be inside of the POS app, not likely outside it

Okay, so add those to a technology familiarity section, something like

Technologies used regularly include: TeamViewer, NCR Command Center, Bomgar Secure Support, Windows etc.
