Just watched Patriot Games with Liesl. Good time to teach her about the IRA since it is looking like the Good Friday Accords are going to be abandoned four weeks from tonight.

I rewatched that a few months ago. Haine would not be comfortable with it. Too graphic for her.

Great movie. I just introduced Laura to it last weekend. One anime movie each weekend. This is what we've done so far in no real order:
- Akira
- Princess Mononoke
- Redline
- Garden of Words
- Spirited Away
- My Neighbor Totoro
- Ninja Scroll
- Howl's Moving Castle
- Ponyo
Trying to pick ones that are easier to get into. Ninja scroll was a tough watch for her so I needed to scale it back a bit.

This is not easy to get into.

@wirestyle22 Miyazaki has an agenda and pushes it in all of his films. So while they are all simple and generally light for the younger audience, an adult audience can easily be turned off by the pushiness of the messaging.

Yeah I think that's true. She didn't have as many problems with Akira for some reason. Maybe she wasn't paying as much attention, not sure.

Ghost in the Shell if she likes that genre (cyborgs and mental games) at all.
When Marnie was there is Studio Ghibli, but not Miyazaki.

I watch Akira every few months myself. It's one of my all-time favorites.
