Working on a OSX user migration who has tens of thousands of creative files throughout their profile. . . of course they want their profile restored intact so everything looks the same. . .

Of course this is going to take days. .

Making power moves buying used music gear today. Grabbed a Moog flanger for $160 (usually 225+), and hopefully I'm going after work to pick up an old Sunn 2x10 cabinet for 35 FREAKING DOLLARS! Only 1 slight tear in 1 speaker - and I know how to fix that.

I sent an email to one of the higher ups at our vendor - we had a call from someone who didn't leave a call back number.-
I send an email and 50 emails later, i have 4 tickets open under my name and no one has found Pam as my first email asks. .,.
today can be described as completely comical.

Elmer's glue and tissue paper, actually. Or I know a pro who would only charge me $30 to properly recone and refoam it. Or I might really like the busted speaker distortion, that's a thing.

Meeting with the New GM today. The sales man told me I have a chance to move up in the company here.
                We'll see how things go.

                    It gets complicated.
I can explain it if you wish .

Came in this morning to an internet outage. ISP updated the firmware on their equipment, didn't backup the config, rebooted it. It came up with an old scope that we don't use and our firewall was all confused because of it.

                        Only half a day gone. . . . .

See, those pesky ISPs go down, but I bet your VOIP servers were okay 🙂

What's worse is the ISP didn't tell us that they were making any changes to our equipment at all. It's fine if you want to update stuff, but first take a backup and second confirm with the customer!

I'm sure the sales person is one of the highest people at his location... which is just sad.

If the hardware suffices and there aren't any gains to be had then use it.

My comment was about you working on a 2000 year old laptop aka a stone slab

Just took a call from someone complaining about computer not getting them logged in. Smartctl reports 4.6 billion seek errors and 99 million raw_read_error_rate. I don't know how the computer got booted up in the first place! That HDD is the little engine that could for now.
