Is there a threshold when going from Unicast to Broadcast?

@mary said in Unicasts, Broadcasts, and Multicasts - CompTIA Network+ N10-007 Prof Messer:

Unicast is 1 to 1, broadcast in one to many, so with 3 hosts in the network you have broadcast.

It's more purpose based. Unicast is for normal communications. Broadcast is normally reserved for special cases like DHCP where there is no way to do unicast.
