HPE Supermicro?

That's 100% identical to a Supermicro 4-node server.

Or is HPE buying Supermicro? -
I wouldn't be that surprised. How many Dell Compellent storage servers were just Supermicro with a Dell bezel?

IIRC HPE and other vendors do sell rebranded Supermicro equipment.
Often times with custom drivers and firmware, but the underlying hardware is the same.

HPE resells SuperMicro gear under Nimble someone noticed last week.

It's interesting to see some people talking about how HPE and Dell is great and that their products are higher in quality than Supermicro...and then find that Supermicro is being rebranded by HPE and Dell at the high-end of their product lineup. :face_with_tears_of_joy:

LOL, do people really claim that? Their service and support might be better, but hardware... literally the same, haha.

Another interesting Fact is Datto, they also use re-branded Supermicro Servers and they do work well.

Basically all appliance makers use SuperMicro. SM is the appliance chassis provider to the world.

The larger ReadyNAS devices were also Supermicro. Just retired one that has DDR2 RAM. Had 12 bays like the one pictured above. Just older.

Quanta has a decent run rate also. SuperMicro offers more form factors than anyone. Their T41/42 platforms were used for VxRAIL prior to Dell buying EMC.
In this case, I think Apollo and their hyper scaler stuff came from SGI who might have OEM'd SM.

Regarding OEM I saw just the other day that Oracle uses Supermicro in their hardware as well. And Citrix did too in their Netscaler, Wanscaler etc products.
They also have small IoT devices, so the whole range from low power embedded to hyper scale.
