I'm fascinated by the number of people who report issues with sleep these days. I've never had trouble sleeping and my body has always demanded 8-9 hours nightly. For those of you who struggle with it, have you ever seen a physician about it? Do you have any ideas as to why it's tough for you and things you think would help?

I don't have "issues" per se. It's just that my body doesn't let me sleep more than six hours, that's all the sleep my body can stand.

Ok and do you feel rested after these 6 hours? If so, I think I would actually prefer that.

Oh my body demands 9+ hours, but that's near impossible for me with having to be at work during normal biz hours (mostly). I try to catch up on weekends, but it doesn't help. As far as seeing a doctor, I'm afraid of what I might do blacked out on ambien. Don't want to burn the house down by trying to cook something in my sleep.

Oh yeah. Totally rested. Dont normally get tired again for about 19 hours.

I refuse to use alarms except for extreme things like catching a flight. So my sleep is always "sleep till my body says to wake up"

See I envy these. I'd love to sleep 5-6 hours a night and be fully rested, given that it doesn't negatively affect my health.

It's one of the best things in life. Makes being healthy and happy much easier. Go to bed when tired, get up when rested. Let your body guide you.

I'm lucky if I can take a nap when I need to without getting woken up or not napping at all.

I am slowly getting used to my diet. 3 Yogurts, a bag of baby carrots, mixed nuts and water today for lunch. Not easy.

I actually enjoy yogurt. Is it a texture thing for you? Do you like cottage cheese?

I wouldn't say I have problems either - I simply force myself to stay awake long than my body wants to - and I typically wake up between 6 and 7 hours after going to sleep.

I'd HAVE to go to bed at 9 PM for that to even stand a chance. Up at 4 AM for the gym.

Here's my suggested daily food routine

                                        5 AM workout
                                        5:45 - workout over - drink Merge protien/carb in 10 oz water
7 AM - 4 eggs, 1 oz cheese, 1 large or 2 small tortillas, salsa
                                        9:30 - 1.5 cups 3% cottage Cheese 1 cup berries
noon - 6 oz lean protein, 6 oz veg, 15 grams carbs
                                        3:30 - 6 oz lean protein, 9 triscuits, 1/2 cup guacamole
6 PM - 6 oz lean protein, medium sized potato or equal starch, 6 oz veg

Only thing I'm supposed to drink all day is water. A min of 80 oz.

So, been back on track since April.

                                          April 17: 109.8 kg = 242.1 lbs
                                          June 3: 102.2 kg = 225.3 lbs

                                          7.6kg lost = 16.8 lbs lost

                                          3a9a0cc0-b201-4b9b-8fd9-5bd8e80f46fe-image.png

Not sure WTF happened to my weigh in on June 1. Did it multiple times, I can only assume the scale was correct. but that was an excessive drop. I never get happy about that. It does happen occasionally.
