Season 3 was quite bad, but 4 is clearly worse.

TGIF was so annoying. Give me Star Trek, because space makes it better. (Yes, I know Star Trek is just the TGIF sitcoms in space, still doesn't change my mind.)

I'm a few episodes into The Orville. It's really enjoyable so far. Seth MacFarlane may actually be the weakest actor in the show. The humor is decent and not over the top (like Family Guy or American Dad) and it feels much more like a Star Trek show then some of the recent ones.

Yeah, that stuff was funny for fifteen minutes, then got old. But they seemed to realize it pretty quickly. They still get little jokes in here and there, but the main plots and stories really go deep which is nice. And they seem to tackle head on a lot of what Star Trek got wrong or was afraid to cover.
