Am not able to access the Dlink DVX 8000 IP PBX through any browser. Time out error coming. Am using 192.168.100.100 as default IP address. Any one can help me to solve this prob.

Is your network setup to use the 192.168.100.x network?

If not configure a laptop that has an Ethernet adapter to be 192.168.100.<whatever besides .100> and connect to this PBX.

I'm assuming this is a brand new unit you are attempting to setup?

I've worked with replacing these before.

First, find it on your network. I like AngryIP Scanner, but everyone has a favourite tool. Do an IP scan and see if something is at 192.168.100.100 and see if the DLink shows up somewhere else.

Use a Crossover cable and directly connect to this unit from this unit, and your laptop.

Send it back, these are terrible units that should never exist. It's not as good as the free system it is built on. I mean this 100%, rip it out and replace it. These should only exist where you've taken over an old install that already has it, and should immediately be preparing for replacement. No matter what it cost, that's sunk cost. Sell it, send it back, whatever.

I am also using the angry IP scanner. No IP device found. The default IP mentioned in the DVX 8000 PDF is 192.168.100.100. So am trying this.

While this is likely the best option, we can't assume everyone we encounter has the authority to make this decision.

That has to also be in your network range for the IP scanner to find it.

Use or make a cross over cable and plug directly into this machine from your laptop.

No need, but the laptop has to be on the 192.168.100.0/24 network.

You need to set your laptop to use the same scope that this device is configured with.

What operating system is your laptop installed with, something in the Windows 10 family?

The laptop IP setting is same match for the 192.168.100.3

OK so open up a command prompt and attempt to ping the device at 192.168.100.100

If it doesn't respond either ICMP is disabled or it isn't using that address.

AngryIP. It's free and works really well.

The device may not be working. These are not very reliable pieces of hardware.
