Check multiple times throughout the day, I've never had to wait more than 2-3 days to get one. Also never had much luck with the notifications, seeing as I've never actually gotten one.

I've gotten notifications. But checking often is easy and tends to work.

I've been looking off and on for a few months now for Vultr Storage Instances. All locations seem to be temporary sold out at all times. Am I right in thinking the few times new instances come available are bought immediately? Or is Vultr phasing these out and are just saying they're temporary sold out?

I have had the same problem for months. @JaredBusch suggested spinning up a VC2 instance and then add block storage to it.

Luckily I'm not in a situation were I need to have one, but I'd like to spin one up for testing.

Man, you have been really lucky. I was checking several times a day for at least a month, including weekends, and I never saw anything in the US or Asia above the lowest capacity during that whole time.

Yes, Vultr block storage is SSD-backed storage and each VBS is stored and replicated with 3 copies of the block device across a highly available cluster.

Storage instances now available in Amsterdam as they've have just opened up new capacity there across the board.

That's a pretty good price for high performance, highly redundant, all SSD storage that is hosted.

Storage in Amsterdam is still available. They apparently increased capacity significantly. They never last for this long.

Down to only the 125GB instance
