      Nope that is morbid.

Compared to..... having the body surgically altered and storing it in another part of town underground or taking the ashes and letting them go in the air that we breath?

I'm seriously going to consider this. Seems like such a better idea than what people normally do.

Reminds me of a funny story. I worked with a guy at Intuit who was an interesting fellow. He had a strange gold teardrop shaped medallion on a necklace that he'd wear every day. One time I asked him about it. He said "well, it's a bit weird". I almost said "what, is there someone's blood in it?". Instead I said "oh really, I'm ok with weird." He then proceeded to tell me that his brother had died and he and his siblings had all had these necklaces made that each had a drop of the dead brother's blood in it, to remember him by. Boy was I glad I had kept my mouth shut 🙂

                It's weird.

I'm hoping to have my ashes scattered on a mountain in the Lake District, but my wife is moaning about having to make the walk. Will hopefully have my kids do it for me.

Wow, that would have been really weird to have guessed that!

I had wanted my ashes thrown into the Rhine. But this seems better.

SAM has value, even in death.

The true nerd solution would be to have your ashes used in making the platters for a hard drive 🙂

Hopefully, by the time any of us die, we'll be in a world without HDDs and it'll all be SSDs...

Hopefully by the time I die we will have digitized the brain. Here's hoping for a digital immortality.
