Admins usually call for RDMA to offload CPUs and to keep the latency as low as possible. Still, “RDMA” is an umbrella term. There are, actually, three big RDMA technologies developed so far: InfiniBand, RoCE, and iWarp. Which one leads the future, and do admins need RDMA that much after all?
