          Actually no.

Mark Spencer is the creator of Asterisk. He formed Digium later.

Interesting to see the financials of Digium. Fiscal 2017 net loss of $4million. Most recent quarter breakeven.

Under the terms of the agreement, Sangoma expects to pay a total purchase price of US$28 million on a debt-free and cash-free basis, subject to customary working capital adjustments. The purchase price consists of US$24.3 million in cash and 3,943,025 Sangoma common shares (representing US$3.7 million based on a ten (10) day volume weighted average price of $1.2214 per common share). Digium generated approximately US$30 million in revenue in its fiscal year ended December 31, 2017, with consolidated assets (net of cash) of approximately US$11 million, no debt and a net loss of approximately US$4 million. Further, for the most recently completed quarter ending June 30, 2018, Digium is operating at about EBITDA breakeven.

Wow, that's going to consolidate a lot of things.

Their internal offerings weren't that good, and they don't "make" anything themselves which didn't make a lot of sense.

Sangoma makes a lot of its own tech, they have their own hardware and their own software. It's a good match.

I though Digium used to make some cards for FXO/FXS.

But yeah in more recent history, their only product has only been Switchvox, and some (I assume) rebranded phones.

I have a Sangoma Vega 50 sitting on the shelf next to me that was used for a while to get POTS into a PBX until the client upgraded their internet services to handle their calling needs.

Switchvox looked so futuristic about 10 years ago when I was selling Allworx phone systems. Feels like it hasnt been updated at all since then. Have always liked their phones myself but they also need an update. I hope this goes somewhere fruitful.

The biggest thing would be whether they maintain two product lines or merge teams/products. With 3CX upsetting all of their resellers and going direct to customers it is interesting times.

Did not know that. I do not pay enough attention to 3CX because their restrictions when I was testing things out just made it too clunky without forking over money.

@jaredbusch Ok guess I wasn't very clear, my fault. We had a meeting with a rep i think was from Digium and she was demoing Switchvox for our phone person. Our phone person was already set on call manager from cisco because she does not want anything more automated. Most jobs here are payed based on how much a person is responsible for and does. So that really discourages a lot of people from automating things and doing things the smart way to save money.

@FiyaFly - This should make your heart happy based on how much fun you had with Sangoma in past years.
