      Hi all,

I have a requirement to find a software which can enforce following restrictions:

      1. Only allowed applications to run
        Email client
        Browser (Chrome)
        PDF reader
        C Cleaner

      2. Only allowed applications that can connect to internet
        Salesforce
        Google maps

What can we use to achieve this, its mostly a windows environment, and they want to use some end point protection tool which can also be used for locking apps.

Yes, Faronics made the product that is considered the spiritual successor to Microsoft's own SteadyState which they dropped after XP.

I was going to mention Deep Freeze,.. not that I could remember what it was.. But as mentioned by @ambarishrh and @scottalanmiller - Faronics.. I had forgotten about them. I wonder if I should add just one more project to my every growing list...

What kind of cost are we looking at? There's no pricing on their website as far as I can tell.

Anti-Execution can be handled by GPO.
                      Specifically Software Restriction Policy.

Since I'm unsure of the current political drama surrounding linking to Spiceworks, I'll send you via my "blog"/link-pasting-bin-with-words Don't Push That [dontpushthat.wordpress.com].

Suggested them to have AD and software restriction policy/applocker, but they wanted to have a solution without AD, something like an endpoint manager, install the agents to the clients and manage.
