One thing I like about Ubqiuiti Cameras is you can change the default username too.

                          From the article:
" The city of Yachiyo noticed the problem on April 24 and also found that the password for the camera had been altered. The city cut off the camera from its network and reported it to police, it said.

The city of Ageo realized the hacking two days later.

"We had not predicted this kind of situation," said an Ageo city official. "

Really? you couldn't conceive and prepare for this type of an attack happening? First thing I do on all of my equipment that comes with a standard password is CHANGE THE FREAKING PASSWORD

Yeah and Ageo is right next to my in-laws. They live in Okegawa. Within that blue circle. It is just NW of Tokyo, 45 minutes on the train to Shinjuku Station.

Now the US government will start making restrictions on features that can be implemented in consumer technology.
