Taken from a MakeUseOf article: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/much-traffic-internets-biggest-websites-get-day/

In other news, MakeUseOf is built on Wordpress, which I learned when getting the URL for the image to upload to Imgur. Cool beans.

For those interested, the link to the original image, proving it's a Wordpress site:

Great information....love to see another large site using WP.

Another way to check what tech is behind a website, use the Google Chrome extension BuiltWith...very cool stuff.

Hard to believe that MSN, Buzzfeed and eBay are that big. I would never have guessed.

MSN is so many peoples' homepage by default on IE that it doesn't surprise me. Buzzfeed doesn't surprise me either. Actually, the one that shocked me most is Yahoo. Seriously, who uses Yahoo anymore?!

Everyone in my office... except for the CEO who uses Bing. 😞

Exactly my point. Pretty sure it's the default homepage on almost any new Windows build. Even HP, Dell, and Lenovo typically use some version of MSN as the homepage, even if it's a Lenovo MSN version.
