running Webroot + Malwarebytes?

I have a managed customer that said their web guy recommends running Malwarebytes along with AV software "because it's looking for different stuff." Is anyone running Webroot and Malwarebytes together. Years ago I remember some people running two AV products "in case the first one missed something" and their machines had issues with lockups etc.

AV isn't the same as malware.
Sure AV has begun to scan for malware but if often has different items it's looking for.
I run them side by side and haven't had any ill side effects.

I don't bother running these side by side. Haven't found the expense in business worthwhile.

You shouldn't have any problems running Webroot and the version of Malwarebytes that is just on-demand scanning. Sadly, I think all the paid-for business versions of Malwarebytes now include the active monitoring thing, and I don't know if you can disable it.

With Windows 10, Windows Defender can be set to periodically scan for threats when the primary AV is installed.

SHarp Business uses Webroot and Malwarebytes but Malwarebytes is backing out on it. Webroot now is coming out with an antimalware now.

I run one AV product with MBAM (using the free version for manual scans).

I won't allow the free trial to be installed on client computers, so the paid version would be the only option. I was wondering more if having two products actively trying to scan files would end in contention issues. A manual scan kind of defeats the purpose in my mind.

They should not conflict.

I run both AV and Malwarebytes on lab equipment and some of my clients and never had a conflict.
