Send-MailMessagePowerShell cmdlet... this has so many immediate uses.Testing went great.
Does one need to setup a email relay for it to work from a workstation?
Same as any random SMTP host. Don’t need it but does your target allow random senders?
I'm not sure understand question. Are asking if the smtp host is allowing anyone to use it? Or the person who would be receiving the email? My smtp host is lockdown at the firewall and is configured to allow certain client machines to use it.

Then you’d either need to add this box or send to an allowed proxy.

Nah, my 1 year old had a cold last week and now I've got it. Easier to blame it on daycare.
