When I first heard about thunderbolt, external graphics cards were the first real use for it I thought of. It took too long for someone to come out with this.

Oh, they've had things like this around for years and years. They're just very rarely used.

From what I gather, they're working on a much smaller one that can be easily tossed into a bag with your laptop.
