I don't expect to go to this stuff for my own kids and I didn't go to any of my college graduations. I only did HS because my parents made me. I don't go in for the pomp and circumstance stuff.

and the graduation doesn't have much to celebrate or pomp

My kids get one on the weekends. Generally a white soda lacking caffeine, but occasionally a cola.
It is considered a treat as is appropriate IMO.

I'm hoping that we can at least keep it to the fruity drink family. A Crush is way better than a Coke. And Manzanita is based on apple juice, so you can kind of give it an edge.
