Every breakout session I've been to has been a sales pitch on why you should buy my product with no technical depth whatsoever.

      Sounds familiar.

I think we've been to the same conference.

Pure FlashStack is their foot into the hyperconvergence door.

Not even kind of. It's a clear step in the opposite direction. It's as far from HC as you can reasonably get.

FlashStack, from the info on Cisco's site, is nothing but a really low quality totally traditional "never do this" IPOD. Nothing is converged, nothing is hyper, nothing is special. It's just vendors you'd never want to use, with blades you'd never want to use, in the most generic IPOD you can imagine.

Generally, yes. Lime some good adventures once in a while. I don't drink, so can't talk on the adult beverages, but the general kind are the same as in Texas.

Food was from a food truck as referenced before and was okay. All kinds of foods. Vietnamese fried chicken, philly cheesesteak w/ chicken, vegetarian varieties w/ tofu, all kinds of stuff.

The main party is tomorrow night and features Snoop Dog. Tonight is vendor's time to wine and dine prospect customers.

I'm out with the family sight seeing instead.

@NerdyDad understood. How is day two? I'm assuming that there is another day?

he's not, he's at Pure's conference. Pure is old school storage, the opposite of hyperconvergence. If Snoop was HC, he's be out picketing.

Snoop is down with the IPOD, which is what Pure is all about. And you've always been able to get Snoop on an iPod. 😉

Currently applauding people for buying the most of their products and how they use it.

Senior Director of IT for AT&T just received one. We can blame him for all of AT&It's problems and high cost.

So the real question... how good is the product?

Actually the bigger question, the only real one now, is are they a viable company? Rumour is they are on their way to going under. Like Nutanix, unprofitable with no revenue model to kick in.
