Got access to the early launch of the Rainbow 6 Siege Technical Test Server which opens tonight, so gonna check out some of the new features on there, but other than that I've not done any gaming since last week!! Been feeling rotten with illness, but getting better now!!
Also: Wildlands is amazing so far...

I have been sucked into the 7 Days to Die (think Zombie Apocalypse meets adultish version of MineCraft) world, as well as been sucked back into Warcraft (wife started playing, lol).

Assuming you mean 7 Days... yeah, it's addicting. A friend got it for me. It've already sunk 40 hours into it over the last couple of weeks, ha ha.

Got Spore today.

Played a bit of Star Citizen last night. Finally have a PC that can play it at a reasonable FPS.

The original Spore was actually really good if you ignored the hype that surrounded it.

It was one of the first games with SecureROM DRM. Which was a disaster... it was super easy to circumvent but punished people who legitimately purchased the game.

Literally playing all 162 games batter by batter in OOTP 2017 with the Pittsburgh Pirates. In June I was 8 1/2 games out of first. Made a couple of deals (Martin Prado and Sonny Gray for prospects) and now I am within 1 1/2 by the All Star break.

Do you have another HDD? 120 GB will vanish in about 4-5 games. I would upgrade that above most anything else.
Do you need an optical drive? If yes, will you need the versatility of a Blu-Ray writer?

I have a 120 GB SSD currently, seems to work for me (could just use the old one and new one). Don't need a blu-ray player. One thing I don't have listed is a 4k monitor. Any advice on that?

It really depends on budget and how much you care about fidelity and refresh rates. I haven't bought a monitor for gaming in at least a decade, but I get these for work: https://www.neweggbusiness.com/product/product.aspx?item=9b-24-236-399.

Anyone have good video graphics benchmarks? Price vs. perfomance the Asus ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080 seems to come out ahead
