Let's say I have some video/files/pics etc I'd like to share with 10 different people.

Is it possible to restrict this on a 1:1 basis, such that the the download links are exclusive to each user & can't be shared?

Shared = Can be Reshared. There can never be an exception to that. You can remove convenience, but you can't stop someone from sharing it on. Once it is in their hands, they can share it again no matter what.

If you share with ten people there is no need for a link at all, unless they are not NextCloud users. In which case, what is your goal?

            True!
Can I at least make it some what difficult?

I say share because the source material is the same.

              They are not NC users.

Goal: is to give you access to the file, but not grant access to JB (that's just an example

Not really. They just make a copy and send it to whomever they want. It will take 100 units of effort on your side or 1 unit of effort added to their side. It only hurts you, not the people trying to copy.

That alone is an impossible goal. Giving access to me by definition grants me power to share with JB. Giving the file to me means you've given me that power. It's the nature of giving me access.

To better answer this question without the off track resharing discussion..

No, once you make a share link, even with a password, that link can work for anyone that has it.

The only way to handle something like you want is to force everyone to use a full account.

That will, of course, not stop the resharing issue. But that is not what you were asking.

I was trying to keep him on goal, rather than stuck in the weeds 🙂
