Today I'm officially saying goodbye to an old friend...my first laptop. An HP dv6-3122us. I maxed the RAM out at 8GB. It had a dual-core AMD Turion at 2.4GHz. No discrete video memory. However, all that being said, I pushed this thing to the limit and made it stay there for days on end. It never failed me. Until a run-in with chocolate wine sped up my upgrade process some, I was doing okay with it. Now that I have my current laptop, I don't know how I functioned on that one. Still, so many good memories on it. But it is time to say goodbye. Below are two goodbye pics and another from it in its prime. Goodbye my friend!

My first laptop was a Compaq LTE 5000 Series (was given it used in like 2002). Windows 98SE. Internal Floppy Drive, External CD Reader Via Parallel port. A Whole 16MB of RAM. 4GB HDD. Ah the Days of Netzero Dialup and ICQ, IRC Chat, Etc.

My first portable was something close to Carnival Boy's. though it was much more laptop like than that (hell it looked like that computer on Halt and Catch Fire).
