Heading to T-Mobile to see about upgrading to the iPhone 7 since my bill credits from switching to T-mobile 18 months ago have finally ended.

If you use the gmail app, not just built in mail, it likes to lock up on the 7. Rarely had issues with it on my 6.

I love when someone responds in a thread about how adamantly they are not confused, then immediately go on to explain that they are totally confused.

What kind of share is it? CIFS or NFS? Why not just mount it and copy?

They are busy replacing the roof directly next door. And as it is a tile roof, it is really loud here.

@scottalanmiller Shows it's copied but nothing on the NAS

The Share has SMB,FTP,HTTP at the moment.

Yeah thinking just mount will be the easiest way lol.

Why not just copy over with FTP or HTTP then?

Pretty sure the Linux FTP command is identical to the Windows one.

This morning an't going well 😞
Trying to set something up, in theory should work but can't work out the execution.

What I need to do is connect a EdgeRouterX that is at a location on a Wireless Broadband connection to us at HeadOffice.
My options at HeadOffice are connect to the Draytek (been trying this but just can't get the tunnel up)

Or my other thought was set-up a OpenVPN server on a VM, forward some ports from the Draytek to it then connect the EdgeRouter to that OpenVPN server. But never used OpenVPN and being a Linux newbie can't find many guides for it lol.

Don't need many, you only need one.

Funny found that to set-up the server, but how to configure the EdgeRouter as a OpenVPN client using the certificates you generate on the server I can't find 🙂 can find a few using username and passwords 🙂

OMG this thread is a train wreck. The take away appears to be that no one jumping in there promoting a GUI even knows what the command line IS let alone knows how to use it.

                                            https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/1971131-whats-the-prejudice-towards-scripting-for-most-engineers

The thread is supposed to be about scripting for engineers, but everyone is talking about GUIs and command line for admins. The degree of not knowing the most basic computer terms here is staggering.
