Anyone here use a Copy Paste replacement tool on Windows?

We have a problem where users are highlighting text in a webpage, then pasting that text back into a webpage and it's causing all kinds of problems, because as most of you probably know, the background HTML comes along for the ride.

The users refuse to paste into something like Notepad then recopying and then pasting into the webpage.

I'm specificially looking for something that allows for the super easy (either a new keyboard short cut, CTRL + C for copy and new one CTRL + G for paste text only - if G is used for something else, well whatever letter isn't).

I've been using Clipmate. Not sure that it offers the "super easy" options that you are looking for.

This looks pretty decent, and it's free as long as you don't need to clipboard syncing.

So? A company should be forced to pay to fix stupid.

Not what the front page of their website states.

@Dashrender Looked at their EULA, and it also states that the free version is for personal use one. I'll contact them to see which one is correct.

Maybe personal use on a business computer 🙂 But not business use on a personal one.

I posted on their support forum requesting clarification. I'll post their response once I receive one.

Oh yeah, I'm not worried about that - and believe me... if given the choice the Docs will be MORE than happy to pay - the problem is that the software won't be everywhere, it's not a global fix. We need to fix the problem - stop copying data and pasting it in the EHR.

wow - that's a slippery nearly impossible to differentiate slope.

Received the following reply from BinaryFortress --

Hi Dan, thanks for letting us know about that! It appears that the homepage is incorrect, the free version is for personal use only. We'll update the website very soon to correct this.

I really like PhraseExpress. It is a textexpander and clipboard manager in one. I just use the freeware.

Textexpander was my favorite app on macOS, things you type over and over again, in a few shortcuts.

Now having actually re-read your question, I have no idea if that would actually help you ... 😥

It's been a couple years since using Windows on a regular basis but I know on ChromeOS and macOS Shift-Ctrl-V or Shift-Cmd-V gets rid of any formatting
