I don't know why it's called that.. maybe due to:

A rectangular block of paraffin is exposed to a source of light from different directions creating a 
```discrepant``` event. Students make observations, ask questions, and make a hypothesis
 about the block of paraffin.

I just thought it was neat.

Yep, you just happen to be close to halfway between the shipping company hubs, and which one it gets delivered from might change every week or month. Trust me, it's even more annoying for the people delivering your packages!

Memphis is the main hub for FedEx. That is actually where the company originated. I'm not sure about UPS. But the main hubs for the northeast for FedEx is Indianapolis and Memphis.

Could be that the software that's routing everything got just a little behind as well.

One of the trucking companies I worked for was subcontracted out to BAX, who bragged that they have the largest sorting facility in the U.S. Biggest does not equal most efficient! Our schedule was so tight that a little extra traffic threw the whole day off.
