Interesting - Have not heard of Electron before, so it may be worth a peek at.

Website is a tad sparse... needs more information and screen shots, people who are not familiar with it will want to know what they are looking at/for.

No really good description and no screenshots is always a turn off for me.

Yeah. It seems to be a new-ish thing... I've got some pcaps and all I can pass through it later.

If you have the time could you pop up a few screen shots?

Install process on Mint 18... Download the Deb file from their site and then...

It's 355 megs installed. That seems a bit big to me.

A small test capture I had to do since it's not compatible with the pcapng format that I had on hand.

I think I like Wireshark better.

That does seem a bit high. I can't recall what Wireshark is,.. but that is easy enough to find/figure out.

Interesting - pcap seems to be a standard - not sure why you would build something that can't import what so many already use.

That's the size of a minimal distribution install, not a single program!

I think the bulk of it is the Electron system that it runs on. I'll be keeping my eyes on this one because it looks like they're going to do the filtering syntax a little differently than wireshark. But right now, I'll still use Wireshark for my daily driver.

Very cool, great to see Electron getting more traction.
