No, there is no role playing. So nothing like Skyrim. More like Minecraft without the building.

No, there is no role playing. So nothing like Skyrim. More like Minecraft without the building.
I see. Maybe they said skyrim meaning first person. Then again minecraft is first person. lol
Fun Fact: I've never played minecraft. I don't get it.

I don't get it either, but the kids are playing it right now. It's a bit like an unlimited box of Legos. It's super boring. You can skin it... um, that's interesting for a few seconds.

That's a horrible way to use Skyrim as an example. It's third person for a lot of people, too.NMS is just a first person, unlimited, random exploration game. But it's random, so the exploration is really, really boring.

I don't get it either, but the kids are playing it right now. It's a bit like an unlimited box of Legos. It's super boring. You can skin it... um, that's interesting for a few seconds.
Base game is very boring to me. The fun part, on the PC, is the mod scene. Lots of mods include quests, adventures, etc. Some mods have a progression system so the goal is to get to the end of the tier and see the cool things that were implemented. It's good for some people and not good for others for sure.

@Nic yeah, I didn't watch much of the previews as it isn't a game I was following, but watching someone play it on the PS4 I was like "wait, this is a new game? It looks like its from 2011." Now "bad", just not what you expect. It doesn't have any look, feel or hope of being a AAA game. Doesn't seem up to par with a random PS4 release.

Yup, but really, really boring exploration, just like Minecraft. Not thought out, story driven exploration like Skyrim.

Basically the only game I've been playing for the last few months (since its release) has been Overwatch. Very easy to pick up and play for 15-20 minutes. I really want to get into some of the other games on my list but there is a time issue right now.

Has anyone tried the VR Dota 2 spectating? I'm not a MOBA fan, but from the descriptions it sounds pretty exciting to be in the middle of the action as if you're on the field.
