NTG's a very different environment. Unlike traditional companies, NTG hires for the long haul and has internal development and such. It even provides lab capacity What applies most places really doesn't apply there.
Oh. Is that a US mentality? Companies in the UK still generally hire for the long haul and have internal development, especially large companies (maybe not so much in SMB where career progression is limited). I'd say the majority of my friends that work in IT have worked at the same place for years (20+ years in many cases).
Almost all companies claim to do this, what they actually do is a little different.
Reminds me of the job postings for places like Taco Bell where they want "energetic individuals who are passionate about our company." And advertise that they offer "great growth potential and a dynamic workplace."
If you aren't passionate about a 7 layer burrito I don't think we can be friends
Don't even get me started. All we have for psudo-wanna-be-greasy-nightmare-excuse-for-Mexican Food is a rip off of Taco Bell without any of the really greasy delicious things.
At least your police force is on horseback though right?

They still ride horses. However they are also defacto police for most of Canada... so... cars are more practical.

80.25 crimes per 1000 people. That seems pretty high.

Wow
-
Must be maple related crimes.
-
It's Canada. I think not greeting someone is a crime there
-
When you really dig into that site some claims are interesting. For instance a female is twice as likely, as a percentage of the populations, to get raped in Canada as they are in the US. Suicide rates, as a percentage of the population, are also much higher in Canada.

This one has Idaho at 6th... hmm

How did you find that? The listed numbers listed it as "rate", which means that the percentage of population is already considered. So how did it get to twice, conflicting with teh posted rate?

Wait, that could be ANY crime... that's just crime overall. This one actually shows murder rate, which was higher in the south as I expected.

On the next page there is a heading for Rape Victims. I think I might be mistaken on what it actually is referring to though.

Right, I was trying to figure out the difference between Rape rate and Rape victims.
In the original list they used rate, which is the important one.

Right, agreed rate is the important one.

So what is the significance of this one? Ah this may have been a surveyed question. Which explains the difference.

Not sure, but it's definitely female only and male rape is totally discounted. That's not a huge number, it it is a skew.
