      Those are the basic ones. Lag would almost certainly not be related to the soft phone, that would come from the system or network.

        a codec also influence the RTP traffic, how much is your bandwidth ??

          Lync's a good softphone (when connected to a quality Lync server deployment).

          The Cisco IP Communicator's decent, though the interface tries to emulate a phone's appearance. I've had good luck with it using skinny, but haven't tried SIP.

              that's a good bandwidth, are you using this connection for data also or that is for voip only??

                that is everything. I work from a home office so it is just residential service.

                And that is actually a bad day for us here we usually have more like 43 ping 58/6

                      @IT-ADMIN We've been using Elastix for a while, but we will be shifting over to freepbx soon.

                          Not elastix it's self. We deploy Elastix constantly for customers. They just wanted to play with FreePBX 🙂

                              Well we are an Elastix / FreePBX hosted VoIP company. So kinda both. It's hosted. But hosted by us.
