Yeah it's a big leap forward for sure. My monitor is 1080p and only goes up to 60hz, so with all the settings on ultra the card doesn't have any problems. I'd like to go up to 1440p but I'm also wanting to get a Vive so we'll see which comes first.

Put in the gtx 1080 and now I have nothing that can make it break a sweat. I need a higher res monitor.
Time for 4k? My highest resolution monitor is a 2k, 32" display. With how bad my eyes are I'd want a 40" or larger display. The 2k display matches up well with running lots of eye candy at 2k on an AMD 290X card.

@travisdh1 yeah I might make the jump straight to 4k. Depends on how monitor prices are going. I also want gsync, which bumps the price up a bit.

@wirestyle22 it supports it, and I'm sure there are people who've done it. It would only be necessary for ultra at 4k, really.
I've only got 1280x800 these days.

Scott needs an upgrade! Then again look who's talking... I haven't had a computer in a couple of years (just a work computer, Surface Pro 3/4) No money to buy parts, no computer! Lol. -

I do love indie games, me and the wife recently had a blast with Bro Force!
Several months back we were playing (and only I was loving!) Nom Nom Galaxy! The wife despised it, I absolutely love the game haha
You simply run around, collect ingredients for soup and toss them into the soup making machines. Then lift the barrel and launch it to the stores in the galaxy.
Super funHaven't played it in a while, but The Escapists is pretty fun. Though the prison I'm in now is super hard!

Just got the new GTX 1080, the nvidia edition. I couldn't wait until they came out with the other editions

Yeah that's bad timing. Nvidia has a trade-in program, I think.
