This is a shot of the fumigation that happened. I was on the Scale webinar and all of a sudden the city hooked up the fumigation equipment to the drains and forced poison into the house. Our doors were closed for the webinar so they thought that they house was empty (no one would ever leave a door closed here otherwise.) So with zero warning our bright, sunny house turned into this!!

Yes, very. They come by every two weeks or so and look in the door to see if you want it done. Because we were doing the webinar with the doors closed it looked like we were out. Treating the area for mosquitoes is pretty huge. This is the equatorial tropics in a rain forest. Malaria, dengue and a few other things are common. Malaria is mostly under control, that's super rare. But dengue and one even worse thing have had epidemics from Panama to Florida in the past two months and they aren't taking any chances. Mosquitoes are the top health threat here.

Now we have to deal with giant hornets. Like over two inch long bodies!! It's scary.

Why is the government fumigating people's houses? Especially without their premission

It's also asking for an explosion

We have those here. They build their nests in the ground (they're just holes). I was weed wacking and hit the one hole and a few came out, I did not weed wack there again. They're called Cicada Killers here.

Transylvania. But they are not quite as big as the scarier Japanese ones.

Health reasons. They had assumed that we were not home because the doors were shut. We were the only ones with them shut because I was doing a webinar and we had to keep the beggars from trying to interrupt me to get money during the webinar. No one closes their doors during the day there, if they are home. So it really caught them off guard.

Mosquitoes are a massive health threat there (malaria then, zika now) and if they don't do this they would have an epidemic on their hands. As it is, it's extremely safe. They also go door to door with a guy that comes in and inspects your house for standing water. He'll walk around and poke all of your potted plants and stuff. He puts mosquito poison in the soil for you. Checks your pool if you have it to make sure it has chlorine and is kept moving, etc.
