I guess another part to add to this would be who here is a musician of any sort haha. I've got a wide but very particular music taste, most people tend to dislike it. I like Metal (specifically things in the vein of Metallica and such), I do enjoy Alternative Rock quite a bit. I listen to anything classical, a very small amount of Pop, a lot of older things (i.e, The Five Keys, Elvis, Victor Borge). I also enjoy Techno and Dubstep quite a bit, as well as Funk and Classic Jazz. I currently only play guitar, but I'm working on Bass, Drums, and Violin. I would call myself an Audiophile, but the general "Audiophile" crowd is not something I associate with. I've got a nice setup for listening, an ASUS Xonar Phoebus and a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 990 Premium 250 OHM versions.

Well my house is full of musicians. I am a singer started taking voice lessons at 4 years old and also have played flute that long as well. I also play bass and am now learning keyboard.

Yup, music guy here. Went to college for music performance. Play classical (Spanish) guitar and concert trombone.

I have extremely broad tastes. I like classical, jazz, country, pop, rock, etc.

You know music from the 50s feels like an eternity ago to me but, for example, to my kids that would be like music from 1990!!!
