We were warned about that poster in particular from someone who knows him in real life.

I've heard people grumbling that the quality if threads "over there" was declining. This would be a strong example.

Really? Not surprising. He does seem to be a bit of a plank.

His profile says he has four years IT experience so is he really sitting at the CentOS screen that says "what media is the install on" and waiting for someone to give him the answer?
What happened to initiative and trying stuff out?

Four years since he was a failed intern, is the impression that I have. I'm not under the impression that has has ever worked in IT, including now.

initiative went out the door a while ago ( i was guilty of this when I first started) always asking questions instead of trying to find the answers on my own. But 4 years in, he should have those skills by now to be able to research first then ask after you get stumped.

If my interns can't show the initiative to explore for answers on their own I wouldn't keep them around. To be fair our high school interns do ask really dumb questions from time to time. But they are high schoolers and need to be "schooled".

not sure, the cyber power ups setup we just installed required (4) 208 3 phase outlets to connect to. I don't know to much in terms of electrical and single phase vs 3 phase.
I know we have 480v here in our shop for some of our larger machines.

OK I read up a bit on this.. something about two 120v lines coming together with a common ground, and the 120v lines are not opposite each other like normal 240 lines, instead they are identical, but 120 degrees off.. OK... my head hurts - Trig was never a strong suit.
