Yeah I've done them many times before. Never had one with onsite visits to each location and take 6 months though

Let's not get started on the Your vs My generation... They've already raised the retirement age a since I entered work force in 1987 - And I'm already looking at working till I"m 80 or die - whichever comes first.

Yeah really even for full SS benefit the Age is 67 for the youngest I believe.

Why do you have student loans? No need for that, that's purely optional. The biggest problem with the younger generation is the new mantra of "we have to go to college" even though no generation has ever had less need to go. Unlike every previous generation whose professional knowledge was locked up in guilds and universities, this current generation is the first to have universal access to the knowledge we all were forced to go to college to get. Your generation is the first to have almost zero reason to ever have student loans. That's not something that you can complain about. The "requirement" to go to college was orders of magnitude greater one or two generations ago and wasn't a requirement then, either.

Yeah, OUR generation is paying for the baby boomers. Unlikely that anyone will get screwed like us. We didn't get the boom years, and we get the penalty for the boom years. We got sandwiched between successful generations and are stuck footing the bills for everyone.

I'm confident that you can count on SS, but you can't count on it for retirement. It's been decades since SS was enough for anyone to retire on. It's just an extra "boost" for people at that point.

I wonder, I do not have proof, only what is rumored and suggested,.. that if a politically unstable topic or three were dealt with - if it would not be better. But the system is being bleed for multiple points.

That rumour has always been there. It's just scaremongering. Sure the money is borrowed, but they pay for SS other ways. If SS is going to fail it will be because people vote to cancel it, not because of borrowing money. That's not how SS works. And who is going to vote to eliminate their own money? No one.
