That sounds like breakfast to me. Sadly, I just finished off my big cup of cereal... now I can start diving in to my sugar supply (sweet tea, lol).

Trying to resolve a SpiceWorks AD Import Issue with SW support.
This has been going on for aver a week now. Mainly because I can only get one reply per day due to time zoning.

Mildly irritating that it's taking so long.

Undoing the block on Word document on my spam filter.

Logs did show that at least three copies of the virus would have made it through had the block not been there.

Logs did also show that around 10 valid Word documents were stopped and people weren't reading their daily blogged email asking for them to be released.

                      Big work flow issues.

That's kind of why I asked how that works for you.

                        It's a catch-22.

Even PDFs can carry danger as well though.

They can, but they are a smaller attack vector and harder to avoid. But we need to start somewhere and Word is definitely the low hanging fruit.

Ya I had a WebEx meeting a while ago. I had to use my phone because I didn't want to mess with Java on Linux.

I just had to install Java for an accounting website a client just signed on for.

I'm glad my boss just agreed before we purchase any services that use computers that it will now be run through IT to make sure we can avoid this kind of crap whenever possible.

I am silently crying inside. The maintenance office just shut down the chiller lines to the AC in two of our data centers. Fortunately, we have backup cooling, but we still get to monitor the temperature all weekend.

First world problems dude. I have a wall mounted air conditioner that keeps it at a crisp 68 degrees during the winter.

They got little floor models in there now as backups... Server room usually says around 73 or 74... It's up to 78 now... Chiller has been off for ~4 hours now, so not too shabby.

We also just found out there's an issue with the sensor in one of the DCs... It's showing -169 F right now. (that is minus 169, lol)!
