KVM is pretty easy. If you're using Virt-Manager you can let it choose or set the port and add a password if you want. Then just add the firewall rule.

That's for Spice. Having Spice set up in XS would be nice.

Same with VNC, you just change it from Spice server to VNC server.

On second thought, maybe I don't need a GUI in the console. Would something like VNC work ever if the console is crashing?

No, if the console crashes there is nothing for VNC to show. All VNC does is show the console.

but if you are asking if VNC works when XC doesn't, sure. That's what was being described above is that the issue might be purely XC and that the console is actually fine.

I'm building another one from the template. I'm going to use it as my NX server so I'll let you know when it finishes if I have any issues.

It finished. It's working here. I really like CentOS 7 with Gnome 3. I had that on my laptop for a while and it's almost impossible to break. It just runs. Can't say the same for Ubuntu with Gnome 3.

Just picked the CentOS 7 template. I did give it 4 GiB of RAM because I'm going to be using it with NX and testing out image editing. The other one I made without the template was only 2 GiB.

Did you try using VNC through an SSH tunnel?

So x2go and Gnome 3 don't get along. I'm installing Mate.

Will XenCenter let you switch to another tty?

Nope, that's why Cinnamon doesn't work.

I've got the same issue with Xen and installing CentOS7 when it tries to boot the install media I just get black screen with white cursor.

Have another issues with VLANs but I'll save that for another day 😄

Ya I never even thought about that haha. It sucks because it really kills my workflow. I tried XFCE on my Chromebook, but I ended up deleting the chroot and starting over with Gnome 3. I can't give up the activities overview and the extensions.

                                  Are you using XenCenter?

LXFE, Mate, there are options. XFCE is pretty tough to use.
