I had an idea the other day regarding instant social media groups. Like a umbrella social media platform that allows you to create / design your own sub social media platform. Everything from IT guys to Lawyers, Doctors, Teachers etc...
What do you think? -

It's getting the critical mass that is the hard part, not the technology part of it. There are actually a lot of vertical networks for particular professions springing up.

GroveSocial does this commercially. Each community takes a lot of human capital to make work though.

Yes, But i like Facebook. Its a great source of information if you have relatives from other side of the world.

I like some aspects of FB, but I hate how they really don't want you to have any control... they want you to do it their way. I guess I should just give up, because this is how most of the world is today. Ug somedays!
