User has a brand new Dell 9020m using the stock keyboard and mouse.

Most things the users does has no problems.

But when the user tries to log into their business account on the bank's website the username field almost NEVER gets entered correctly.

Instead of a username of JAREDBUSCH being entered when the user types, she gets something like J/R/DB==CH

Yet when the user types in Notepad, it never does it.

I have had a stray report of it happening in an email, but that is unconfirmed/repeated.

Keyboard and mouse were swapped once.

All normal. this is a new Windows 10 clean install. There are no additional languages installed.

Additionally, sometime the correct items are keyed, but rarely.

Can you try the virtual keyboard?

Ah, I missed that in my description. I did open the On Screen Keyboard (OSK). and every time I clicked a button on the OSK, it always entered the correct value.

The end user is getting a wireless keyboard/mouse combo today I believe. So hopefully a completely different keyboard will resolve instead of swapping the same style.

Okay... so local keyboard/mouse seems screwy,.. OSK is okay.. But what about RDP? Can you use SC or VNC or etc to remote to the computer and replicate the issue?

If you swapped keyboards and the problem persisted a new keyboard won't matter much.

What about a Live boot of Linux? Doesn't help the user much,.. but would isolate down to the MOBO chipset.

                    Keylogger installed inside the keyboard?

That gives me the creeps, straight up.

I'd start with nuking the browser cache / history / saved junk.

Failing that, straight up nuke the box. Banking stuff is nothing to mess about with.

I'm really curious as to the cause and resolution of this one. So bizarre.

                          Same result in multiple browsers?

Would be a seriously mis-timed April fools day joke if it's the bank website.

I wish it were still called "Internet Explorer" so I can call it "Internet Exploder". Microsoft you took away all the fun.
