I saw one on 9gag recently where a boy can gotten tattoo eyebrows that were meant to be "glamorous" and he took a picture saying "so proud of my eyebrow tats, no more worrying about plucking to get perfect eyebrows" or something like that. But they were off center!! It was awful.
What's worse is even if you had tattoo eyebrows that went exactly where your real eyebrows would be.... they still look like ink rather than hair and it looks awful.

Not sure we are any weirder than before. A lot of this stuff mimics old tribal customs. It's really just the age of over sharing.
Hopefully the age of public shaming will curb the appeal. Although the hipster movement if seeking public humiliation as a goal has undermined that.
