To fly now (even in the US) we're being required to have the enhanced licenses.
This isn't an issue for me as I already have mine, but seems like a huge pain in the ass.

Only for people from three states whose states don't have driver's licenses that don't meet the federal security standard. Petition NYS to fix their driver's licenses (or move to a state that cares.)

I was going to say - uh WHAT? I haven't see any such requirement - but Scott's reply explains why.

It hit the news the morning before SpiceWorld. @AVI-NetworkGuy and I were discussing it because he was one of the ones affected by it. I had seen the news while in the airport getting to the conference.
