About to head out for a walk. Not so hot today, and the sun is getting low. Nice time to head out to see more of the city.

Just got up and am catching up. Considering taking a morning walk before it gets too hot.

I am attempting to recover from last week's round of "Let's play Handyman!" ... Worked on my own clothes dryer. It was shot & Had to be replaced. Worked on the ceiling fan in the livingroom. It was also shot and had to be replaced... Then we went to a friend's house to work on her clothes dryer. It needs a $12 fuse that will hopefully fix the issue...

What day is today? Oh... Today is Monday... good, I can go back to being a computer geek again, lol.

I've had those kinds of weekends before - best was when I was able to fix my drier with a $15 heat sensor. That drier is still going strong 10 years later.

The original problem in my dryer was the heat thermostat. It shorted out and took out the heating element, and about 6 - 8 inches of wire. It looked bad. Pops was there when we found the plastic melted off the wire. He was like "eeehh.... "

A new dryer showed up at my house 2 days later, lol.

Just completed a 10K hike around the city. West northwest through small neighbourhoods and then out on the highway. It was pretty warm out there. Picked up two big plates of gallo pinto before returning to the house. Good way to start the day.

@Joy This is such a great thing! Linux is becoming so common place now having a community of people who are in a similar situation as you is great.

Hopefully we can develop the community not only into a center of expertise for Linux but for Windows, FreeBSD and many other technologies as well.
