It was USA Today that got the odd 6,5000 wrong. No idea what number they meant to say.

Interesting side note: Japan delimits numbers in groups of 4 like that.

                        Do they use commas?

At that price I am guessing that it will be pretty possible.

65,000 bottles - I'm thinking they will be sold out in under 5 mins.

Pepsi will make over a million dollars just on letting people buy a quirky bottle!

When using western 3 digit grouping, yes.
When using Japanese grouping, it is not wrote with commas, but with a kanji character for the grouping.

I found an article that said 6500 bottles, not 65 thousand bottles..These will be sold out in under 1 min.

That is not very many bottles at all. That's not enough even for managers, let alone employees, of Pepsi!

Yeah, this stunt seems almost worst than the shoe stunt they pulled 4 years ago. 6500 bottles.. HA! At least with the shoes, they money (at least some part of it) went to charity, and because it was an open auction type thing.. there wasn't a lot of worry about them being bought just to be resold again later - presumably they would be purchased by whomever wanted them at the highest price at that time.
