I took Spanish in high school, the only access to foreign language training that I ever has. I can speak just a little.

Hoping to move to Italy and expose the kids to foreign languages more immersively.

I can limp along in baby talk in Japanese.

I really really need to work on this. My daughters have way too easy of a time keeping a secret right in front of me with their mom.

I speak a tiny bit of French (enough to grocery shop in) and Lingala, a Central African tribal language. I also sign in ESL and Rochester Method.

Fluent in French. I lived in Strasbourg for three years as a kid.

Are you practicing stealthily so they won't realize the code is broken?

I've picked up some Spanish just from hearing it depending where I am at in FL. The county next to mine is over 70% Hispanic.

We had a deaf person join our social circle two december's ago. About 6 in our group decided to learn to sign.

Since the time that this thread was originally posted, I learned Italian and then Spanish. I've mostly lost the Italian, but I speak Spanish every day now.
