The one thing I still haven't been able to figure out just yet is how to create task dependancies so that setting one task's start time is dependant on its predecessor. This would let me properly display the Gantt chart with timelines aligned with expected completion. I know I've seen something once about how to set it up but I couldn't get it figured out and haven't had much time to get back to it.

Does this mean Disney will have to get rid of their Indian H1-B IT staff, and re-employ the good old 'merican boys (and girls) again?

Trying to stay out of the political murk, this is all I'll ask here. Do you believe anything the government claims?

The only issue I see with something like this is now you'll hire security to confirm purchases as people are entering / leaving.

Should be less staff over all, but a bit more police state shopping.

The companies who start moving in this direction are not the same ones who will treat their customers like criminals over the possibility that one item didn't get rung up.

I have worked on projects to try and do warehouses this way, but time and time again, the RFID ends up being just too expensive per tag to make it worth it. We already have the technology to fill a cart with items then as a customer walks out, a gateway over the door can count it all, and bill them. I am betting Amazon has just found a way to bring cost down slightly on existing technology.

Why so he f**k up Canonical more, all those failed plans where of his era:

Ubuntu fail phone Ubuntu fail interface Ubuntu snap apps or packages and moving away far away from Debian unstable repo.

The reason why Fedora/Centos works is cause of up-streaming, and Ubuntu long ago forgot about that and now they are swimming alone reinventing the wheel.

The three app stores that are baked into devices (excluding Amazon)

Apple: The exclusive club that allows business transactions on its premises but don't piss off the owners or you're out on your ear. Google Play: The we accept anyone club where people come to hang out and do a bit of business. Pick pockets and thieves go unnoticed but are thrown out upon discovery. Windows store: The wild west, lawless, don't trust anyone. A marshall/law bringer comes to town every-so-often, throws out a few trouble makers, doesn't finish cleaning up the place before leaving again.

The US has a relatively uninvolved populace when it comes to politics. Even for the third world it's not very involved.

Some areas of the US have single digit participation rates... that's nearly unheard of in countries outside of authoritarian dictatorships

Windows 98 boot disk creates a RAM disk to store all its files which also happens to be my first experience with RAM disk. You can also copy the need files off the boot disk to create your own RAM disk in windows.

I've been using RAM disks since 1987 on the Commodore Amiga where we would use it for all kinds of things. Our memory was many times the size of our storage making it a no-brainer. Especially as the storage was insanely slow floppies.
